about me!
My journey into birth education was inspired by my own experiences—three unique births that forever changed the way I view this transformative rite of passage.
My first birth was a wake-up call. I went into it feeling unprepared and unsure, swept along by a system I didn’t fully understand. Intervention after intervention led to a cascade of events that ended with my baby in distress, shoulder dystocia, multiple nurses aggressively pressing on my stomach, and my newborn being whisked away immediately for oxygen. He spent the first three hours of his life separated from me, and I was left with a difficult postpartum recovery and an overwhelming sense of trauma. At the time, I believed that was simply how all births were, and I resolved never to go through it again—convinced I was done having babies.
After a couple of years, a lot of healing, learning, and researching, we decided we wanted to grow our family, but this time, things were going to be different. With my second birth, everything changed. I leaned into my intuition, reclaimed my power, and experienced the beauty of birth unfolding naturally. It was a revelation: birth is not something to fear but a sacred process that, in most cases, simply requires trust, support, and space to unfold.
My third birth confirmed that births simply don’t belong in the hospital. After my latest experience, I knew this calling wasn’t just personal—it was something I needed to share. Every woman deserves to feel prepared, supported, and confident as she steps into her birth story.
Through Elevate Her Birth, I’m here to help you approach your birth with clarity and connection, offering resources, education, and support tailored to your unique journey.
When I’m not working with expecting moms or x-raying kids, I’m homeschooling my kids, gardening, baking sourdough, or savoring a good mocktail (9 months sober and counting!). My life is busy, but it’s rooted in family, community, and living with intention.
Thank you for being here. Let’s work together to elevate your birth and honor this incredible moment in your life.
